Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-23 · Effective immediately
Short version: we set a small number of first-party cookies to keep the site working and to count anonymous page views. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site identifiers.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device, and then read back on subsequent visits. Cookies cannot run programs or read other files on your device.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| imgsize_pref | Saves your last-selected target platform so the workbench re-opens on the same preset. | First-party, functional | 30 days |
| imgsize_analytics | Aggregated, IP-anonymized page-view counter. No personal identifiers, no cross-site link. | First-party, analytics | Session |
| imgsize_consent | Records that you have seen the cookie notice on this site (if we add one in the future). | First-party, functional | 180 days |
IP geolocation. With your consent, we may make a one-time network request to a third-party IP-lookup service (ipwho.is / ipapi.co) to detect your approximate country and suggest the matching language. This is a network call, not a cookie; it sends only your IP address, never your images. It runs only if you accept the "Analytics" category in the consent banner.
That's the full list. If we add a new cookie in the future we will update this page before deploying it.
3. Cookies we do <em>not</em> use
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other advertising trackers.
- No third-party advertising cookies (no programmatic ads on this site).
- No social-media embedded widgets that set cookies when you simply load a page (our links are outbound only).
- No device-fingerprinting scripts.
- No cross-site identifiers or retargeting tags.
4. Local storage and similar technologies
In addition to cookies, we use localStorage
to remember which target platform you last selected. This stays on your device only; it is not
transmitted to any server. You can clear it from your browser's developer console or site-data
settings.
5. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most modern browsers let you:
- See which cookies are set and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block all cookies (some site features may stop working).
- Clear all cookies when you close the browser.
For step-by-step guides, see your browser's help docs: Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor browser-level "Do Not Track" and "Global Privacy Control" signals by disabling analytics cookies when those signals are present. Because our analytics setup is already minimal and IP-anonymized, the practical effect is that no analytics cookie is set at all.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or remove cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
